To Beckon & Inspire

Cookie Factory is a place for contemporary art and cultural exchange in Denver’s historic Baker neighborhood. Rooted in place and embedded within a residential enclave, we operate on an intimate, human scale, presenting exhibitions and experiences that respond to Denver and Colorado’s histories, social fabric and landscapes. Housed within a revitalized 1940s fortune cookie factory, we carry forward the building’s spirit of production and distribution. Like a cultural delicatessen, Cookie Factory packages and delivers artistic experiences meant to be opened, savored, and shared.

Founded by Amanda J. Precourt in collaboration with artist Andrew Jensdotter and artistic director Jérôme Sans, each year we invite an internationally renowned artist to create a site-specific exhibition, grounded in the context of Denver and the wider region. Beyond that, the space shifts—opening to performances, music, conversations, gatherings, and in directions that inspire us. We do not follow a fixed calendar. Instead, we move in a deliberate rhythm—prioritizing depth, presence, responsiveness, and quality of exchange over frequency. Periods of public activation are balanced with moments of pause—time to reset, reflect, and make space for what comes next.

Free and open to all, we believe culture is not a luxury, but a necessity. It is a way of understanding where we stand and imagining where we might go next. At Cookie Factory, we value art as one of the few places where complexity can be sustained without collapse, and where openness and belonging remain essential.
