Legends League Opening Block Party
Step onto the block where art meets asphalt—where Gary Simmons’ ghostly memories come alive through games, music, and movement. This one-day celebration throws it back to pickup games in parking lots, golden chalk lines of Four Square, and sneakers that tell their own stories. Watch basketball dunk contests and Horse games unfold, step into the break circle, or slip onto the Memory Bench and trade stories with strangers. A DJ lineup of our own local legends, including DJ GypDaHip, Musa Bailey, SELKO, and the Denver Broncos’ own DJ Squizzy Taylor will set the outdoor soundtrack. Food trucks line the curb and art activations keep the day humming.
It’s a block party stitched from sport, sound, and soul—built for those who play, create, and remember.

4-5pm BASKETBALL SHOWCASE including trick shots and other games with music by Squizzy
5-6pm DUNK CONTEST with Squizzy Taylor as MC and DJ
6-7pm OPEN LOT with music by Musa and vinyl sets by DJ GypDaHip
