FOOL’S GOLD

Wednesday, April 1, 2026

5-7PM

Free

Charlie Chaplin’s 1925 film The Gold Rush — one of Gary Simmons’s key reference points for Rush — will be screening in the Lounge starting at 5PM. The Gold Rush is often remembered for comedy, but it is also a story of hunger, desperation, and false promise — extraction softened by laughter, catastrophe turned into entertainment. Watch the entire 100-year-old masterpiece over popcorn and drinks, or flow between film and exhibition to connect the dots.

Fool’s Gold will take place during regular Wednesday hours (4-7pm) on April 1. Let us know you’re coming via the form below! (RSVP optional but appreciated.)
